Summary
This was an odd week, as we spent most of it gallivanting around Batumi, Georgia. My Vivofit2, however, kept good track of our steps as we walked all over the place–and we put up some good mileage:

We got back on Saturday, so I was able to get up and do my long run on Sunday. I headed to the northern part of the island (Cyprus is split, in case you didn’t know) to do some training on the actual 50k race route, and put in my highest mileage trail run to date. It felt great, but I was definitely beat afterward.
The trail is mostly jeep track, although it’s very hilly and has lots of loose rock. There was some great elevation gain and I was able to keep what I felt was a decent pace, although I did walk plenty (no shame!).
Until next week!
