My first and last official race of the year was th My first and last official race of the year was the Bold Coast Bash 50k - a wonderfully beautiful and technical course consisting of three 10.5-mile loops along the Cutler Coast. Fall running and hiking has arrived, and I'm here Fall running and hiking has arrived, and I'm here for it! I had the opportunity to test a bunch of new gear this season from Jack Wolfskin, Kuhl, Helly Hansen, and Appalachian Gear Co. and wrote up some thoughts on the blog. Lots of great stuff and I was pleasantly surprised with several pieces that are now in my permanent rotation. Link in bio for more!

Being surrounded by such a great community and incredible natural resources made it easy to get outdoors every day, and it was especially rewarding to share the Katahdin region with our many wonderful visitors.

While I'm ready to dive into fall and winter activities, I'm still riding the high of this season and hope to replicate it for many years to come!

Learning to utilize equipment, skills, and experience to read maps, take and reconcile bearings, and maneuver off-trail is essential knowledge to recreate safely and responsibly in the backcountry. Hope you'll join us for a trip next season!
