For true backcountry fast-and-light missions, it’s heavier and bulkier than the original Go or other minimal options. It’s a “real coffee on the road” tool, not a thru-hike luxury item.
How to Use It
The brewing process is simple and repeatable, which is why it works so well on the road.
- Boil water.
Use a kettle, Jetboil, hotel coffee maker – anything that produces hot water. - Insert a paper filter into the cap (rinse if you want).
- Add coffee.
About 15–18g (one scoop) of medium-fine ground coffee. - Add hot water.
Fill to your desired level and stir for 10–15 seconds. - Press slowly (20–30 seconds) directly into the tumbler.
- Drink.
Cleanup is one of the best parts: eject the compressed puck of grounds, rinse, repack.

It brews a single serving per press. If you’re making coffee for multiple people, you’ll be repeating the process, which can get old quickly.
Not fully leakproof
The magnetic slider lid isn’t meant to be tossed into a packed bag. I love Contigo cups for this purpose.
Price
At roughly $79–$99, you’re paying for integration and convenience, not improved brew performance over a standard AeroPress.
Bottom Line
If you travel often, spend time in hotel rooms, or just want a tidy all-in-one coffee setup for the road, the Go Plus is a thoughtful evolution of the AeroPress ecosystem.
If you’re a weight-conscious backpacker or brewing for a crew, it’s probably not the right tool.
For the right user (someone who values a reliable morning ritual wherever they are) it’s a clean, compact way to ensure you never have to drink bad coffee again. I personally plan to use this on car camping trips this year and think it will work perfectly for that purpose.
